Greening Our Towns: Single-Use Bag Ordinances

January 19 7:00- 9:00 pm

@Tarrytown Senior Center 238 W. Main Street, Tarrytown

Co-Sponsored by: Greenburgh Nature Center

As a follow up from our popular event held in the Fall, we've decided to dig deeper into issues that many municipalities have expressed interest in executing in their communities. The first topic we will focus on is single-use bag legislation. Come hear from communities in Westchester who have succesfully passed bag ordinances in their towns, and ask questions and seek guidance on how it could work in yours. There will be a presentation that will will go through the steps needed to get this type of legislation off the ground, then a panel discussion where Westchester leaders will share their best practices. Please invite anyone who may be interested in passing a bag ordinance in their town!

Come at 7 for refreshments and networking. The program will begin at 7:30.
