Tom Andersen
is the current Projects Director of the Westchester Land Trust. Prior
to working at the Land Trust, he was a staff writer at the Journal
News in Westchester County, responsible for coverage of environmental,
political and government news since 1983. He received several awards
for his environmental reporting, including being honored by FCWC in
1988. He also has received the EPA’s 1993 Environmental Quality
Award for environmental reporting, and the 1991 Hudson Riverkeeper
Award for reporting about the Hudson. His excellent book, This Fine
Piece of Water: An Environmental History of Long Island Sound is his
most personally valued achievement. Mr. Andersen is also a resident
of Pound Ridge. |

Anne Gold currently
holds two positions. She is the Aide to the President for Community
Affairs for Manhattanville College where she launched and currently
manages the community relations program. Ms. Gold is also the Executive
Director of the Purchase Environmental Protective Association, a nonprofit
organization for which she attends all relevant Town and County meetings.
She also has experience in fundraising through her time spent with
The American Heart Association, in which she planned and directed
their annual Heart Gala from 1999 thru 2000. Anne serves on several
boards including the United Way of New Rochelle, the Westchester Chapter
NCCJ, and the Mt. Vernon’s Mayor’s Task Force for 3rd
Avenue. Anne curently resides in New Rochelle. |

Manfredi spent 35 years at the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation in the Region 3 office, which covers the seven Hudson
Valley Counties north of New York City. In later years, as Regional
Engineer his responsibilities expanded from water quality issues to
include air quality, Long Island Sound Sewage, hazardous waste disposal,
spill events – including close supervision of the spill cleanup
program at the Westchester County Airport, and environmental policy
issues for the Hudson Valley and the New York City Watershed. His
policy responsibilities included diversion of sewage from and mercury
contamination and cleanup of the watershed. Mr. Manfredi is now retired
and lives in Irvington. |
